97 GTX cranks and idles fine. The low fuel light came on and stayed on with a full tank on both settings. While running at idle speed all is well, then when you accelerate it takes off but before you can plane off it just losses power. The motor doesn't shut off it just losses power. Also have a 2000 GTX with the same problem. In addition to loosing power the motor will actually cut off when you try to get up to speed. Carbs in both skis have been cleaned or rebuilt last month.

gtx looses power
It only loooses power in the water after full throttle acceleration. On land and while puttering around away from the dock it appears fine, only after you hit the gas do the problems begin. It takes off for about 2-3 seconds, starts to try to plane off and then just looses power. It doesn't matter if you feather the throttle up or give it all she's got the results are always the same no power it just drops back down to idle. Tried bumping the choke this helped for a brief second then it just right back to the same power loss.
