This is a great forum for sure! With all the electrical stuff posted I can't seem to correct my problem but I seem to be good at making then worse?
Anyways a little history I bought this unit with a blown cylinder. I replace the upper end and got it started. I had to do some carb work and then my electrical issue started or should I say it didn't start? It beeped cranked but It had no spark I replaced the pickup and because the battery would drain when just sitting i also replaced the rectifier. Now I get notta! No beeps no crank nothing? I had had no fuses blown and power in getting to the mpem?
HELP! Please save the hair I haven't pulled out yet and tell me what I am overlooking?

Been there, but you go back to the basics! Get battery charged up then have it load tested, then cables, cut ends off and put on new marine grade shrink wrap & lugs. Read
your manual, wire diagrams, and use your meter on all wires, clean and dielectric grease as you go. One step then another to rule out relays, switches and buttons.
clean all connections dielectric grease them including MPEM and the fuses. Use a known good battery and jumper its ground to block, pos to cleaned cable end from
solenoid to starter and touch battery and it should kick over. 787's eat starters for breakfast, so if it spins engine poorly have IT load tested. The rear box gets alot of water there, the MPEM is in a bad location too so pay attention there. Is ground at
the MPEM good? (continuity). Clean lanyard with a pencil eraser and clean
post and wires to it. one beep=not reading lanyard, two beeps= reading and
ready to start! Understand how your electric routes the system is paramount
to success!

Ok I found the issue with cranking it was the ground from the front cover to the mpem. Problem with the spark is still an issue though. I get two beeps when I attach the dess I have no bad fuses I have a new rectifier and pickup coil. I have done the ignition wires and double checked everything.
The mpem looks ok as far as no burnt wires or discoloraton anywhere.
Correct me if I am wrong the stator is responsible for pretty much only charging the battery?

The stator also gives an electrically timed pulse to the MPEM and is magnified by the
coil and continues to the plug (jumps arc igniteing fuel) to head ground. These wires
in the cap can get burn't, and not allow electrical to continue travel. Take off the
plug boot caps and clip off about 1/4" or so til you see good clean wire, re-cap, and
zip tie the boot back on wire, dielectric grease for best results. Your two beeps is
good, so after E leaves mpem is a problem unitil it completes circuit to ground. The
power is alternating as it leaves the stator so it must be wave conditioned to direct
current by the rectifier, as all the products in the mpem can be rom read and then distributed thru the various elements like timer, rev limiter, ect. Ensure you have
BR8ES plugs gapped .021. Put one *plug wire on engine ground lug, and put a plug
into the other cap and hold the plug end against a bare (file) spot on head bolt,
and crank engine to see spark/arc. NOT in direct sunlight.

Ok I did all of what you suggested and got nothing? I have about 9.2 volts to the white wire off of the coil when I install the dess key. It won't crank until I put the white back on the coil. When I do and crank it the voltage is all over the place on my meter.
