97 GTX, took it for a test drive in the water after rave rebuild
idles fine 1500 in water, and on Trailer revs fine on trailer, but in water once throttle is applied it dies, if I pull choke a tiny bit it will rev higher and not die, but not full revs. New fuel selector, new fuel lines, and new Carbs. Any Ideas?

Maybe check vent lines if not done already...sound like it is starving for fuel? Just went through similar issue.

When you put the new carbs on did you check the pop off and what are the settings on the low and high speed needles?

For correct settings go to seadoosource.com, these are the correct ones (fhe seadoo manual was imcorrect for some skis). If you got new orfices with the kits, make sure you got the right one for your ski.

OSD has good kits, so if you followed the instructions in the sticky thread, then stock settings should be get you on the lake, then you can tune from there.

I think i found the issue, When I got carbs from OSD, they forgot to cap what I thought were the primer nipples, and i asked them what do i do with them, they sent me 3 nipple, but i only capped 2, as I did not notice the one in the rear of the pto carb. as soon as i capped the nipple, it revved to 6000 rpm, I readjusted to 3000 on trailer, hopefully will water test either today or some time this week

Good job. Glad to see you went with the socket screws. While its not the flashiest upgrade, it is the most useful (at least for me). I stripped 2 if the factory screws on the first rebuild, never want to have that happen again. I even went to fastenal and replaced all the internal screws with socketed heads also.

Let us know how the lake test works out, soneone might have the same problem down the road.

these are factory carbs, bought @ OSD, no upgrades, i didnt want to go through the rebuild of the 23 year old carbs that had issues like throttle butterfly stickiness, felt new we be less issues, however new also meant there were a few changes from oem design, such as the nipples that needed to be capped

Update:
I finally had some time to take it out today, purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion. Got on plane easy, no bogs on throttle, was able to go through full rpm limit. Rides pretty smooth as well in some choppy water took it for about a 20 mile run from neshaminy state park to trenton, and back no issues

thanks everyone for the suggestions and help.
Now to fix the Speedometer , the gauge and the lcd for speed would momentarily catch, going to look at the sensor connections and put some dielectric grease at female end
