97 gtx 787 engine

Help please , i pulled off the jet pump to see if that what was seized and its good, then I tried to turn the drive shaft by hand and it still wont turn. I noticed that the drive shaft going into the engine feels loose, i cann move it about 2 inches up and down and in and out a bit is this normal? Thanks all help is appreciated

Remove the gray pto cover,,,remove both spark plugs,,,can you rotate the pto/crank easily by hand?,,,if yes,,,great news,,,if not,,,open your wallet.
