97 GTI no power to dash after rebuild

Hello again everyone. So I've dropped in my rebuilt 717 into my 97 GTI. Hooked all the electronics up, and there is no power to the dash. The battery is brand new, i can jump the solenoid and the starter will engage, but no lights on the dash and the button does nothing. Prior to the rebuild it worked, and I have not made any changes to electronics/wiring. I took the motor out, rebuilt it, and put it back in. There are not that many things to plug or unplug, and I've checked like 87 times. The fuses are all good. Any ideas?

Test out your lanyard and dess post,,and of course check all fuses,

If the Mag plug isn't installed the ski won't do anything. As POPPs said check the fuses. Look for simple stuff.

i sorta ripped one of the prongs off the mag plug accidentally, but i put the prong back on and hooked the connections back up. I'll go stick a multimeter on it and see if its getting power.
