97 GTI I recently rebuilt the carb with Mikuni kit and Mikuni needle and seat. Popoff was good compression is good. I alsoi reinstalled the oil injection cause premix sucks. Anyway ran great one day. Two weeks later upon acceleration just as hull was getting on plane it would die. Would take primer to restart. I found that if I hold 3/4 throttle it will plane out and go 35moh or so. Every now and then it would stumble...if I pump the throttle it would rev back up. I am thinking its fuel but nit sure where to start

You could take the RES line from the tank and run it directly to the carb to bypass the fuel selector and fuel filter

Did you change all of your fuel lines from the old gray ones? First time I rebuilt my carbs it did the same thing after one day of riding. cleaned out the carb and the little filter inside and replaced all of my fuel lines and never had that issue again.

All fuel lines are clear blue type Not gray. I will check the fuel valve...I have two identical skis....I replaced one of them not sure if it is this one

Was pulling air through the fuel filter O-ring. Got that sorted out ran great till the pump crapped a bearing. Grrrrrrrrr.

Sorry to hear that bro. My 96 GTX just took a crapper on one of the pistons. It’s down to 60psi. Just pulled it out and I’ll need a new piston and rings plus a sleeve. 6050FD4C-31AC-4024-9C61-2E039B97EA0F.jpeg3C49D73F-0056-4794-99EA-5E05603B1E39.jpeg
