I had one one my GTI's running off the hose and noticed the airbox loose and shaking around badly. I pulled the box off to tighten everyhthing up when i noticed that the carb body was broken on both sides. the ear is gone on one side and the side is cracked out down all the way down below the choke butterfly on the other. I dunno where the bolts went.... hopefully not into the crank case but it seems it has been this way for a wile and it runs great (i recently bought both ski's) . My question is where can i find a good used carb at and what other ski's are interchangeable? I have found a few on ebay off of 2000 GTS's they seem to be pretty much the same or atleast very simular. Will one of these work?

A very skilled welder can fix them, or you can get any of the SBN38 SeaDoo carbs. If you get a set of eBay carbs... make sure the jetting is correct for your ski.

i bought a carb of a 2001 GTS according to a side i found they appear to be the same other than the newer carb has an accelarator pump according to this site they are the same size with the same flanges and considering how they are both 720's in a simular size and set up seadoo do you still think jetting will be nessasary? http://www.seadoosource.com/carbreference.html

BTW it appears that they went to 40s instead of 38s in 1997
