787 engine is real hard to start after sitting because of oil in the rear cylinder. Get it started and it runs great. Blow it out and clean the plug and it starts right up. Dealer says a seal on the crank is leaking; total rebuild. Compression is great. I can not understand how a seal leaking on the crankshaft allows excessive oil up into the cylinder. Can someone explain that to me?

Only a case leak-down test can confirm that as fact. All seadoos will leak some
at the rotary valve cavity one side, the other, or both. Depends on how bad the
leak becomes. Its in your factory Service Manual. This "leak" sometimes gets
confused with the carb on that cylinder leaking at needle & seat. Your oil tank
useage is an indicator of potential over oilage. Remove the raves, as you probly havent cleaned them in awhile and look at the pistons thru the opening..a trained
eye can usually tell the dif between oil and gas. Read & understand your manual.
You can use the seach for similiar posts to get you wrenching.
