97 GSX electrical starting issues

Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help. I have a 97 Gsx limited that I get nothing out of the starter switch. Thought it might be the computer, so I had it checked out and new keys programmed for it. Still have nothing, and I get no beeping when you put landward on. Seem like I’m not getting any power. Help

Did you replace the dess post ?

Did u check all 3 fuses. There’s one by your solenoid. Also make sure your small red wires to your solenoid are on the correct post.

No I did not, but did check it for continuity with lanyard on and off. Had continuity when the lanyard was attached

Don’t worry about the lanyard yet. If you push the start button with it off the gauges should still power up. If everything is dead you need to check all connections, fuses and trace to see where you are and aren’t getting power.

There are 4 fuses for your unit, did you check all 4 ?

Found power issue, all up and running. Thank you everyone.

There is a short somewhere from the fuse in the junction box with the coils to the Vts, spliced in power after that and everything works the Vts motor is frozen so I’m going to replace it.
