'97 GS oil leak

I replaced the starter solenoid in my GS and now it starts and runs fine (for those of you that saw my other thread). The MPEM is fine and after I replaced the buzzer with one from Radio Shack, that works too.
Prior to this, it had been sitting for 6 months unused and there is now an 1-2" deep oil puddle in the bilge which had accumulated over that time and was there when I opened it up, before getting it running again.
There is no leak from the bottom of the oil tank where the oil lines attach, the filter is not leaking, the oil lines down to the engine are dry. Any clue where this could be coming from, where I should look? Any engine bolts I can try and tighten to stop it?
I don't want to risk a flame up or let this stuff loose when I am riding it.

You will probably need a mirror to see, at the oil pump check the fittings and lines for leaks. The oil pump is under the carbs.

I wiped out the bilge clean and again looked at all the oil lines. Even with a mirror and a light, I cannot see the termination of the oil line at the oil pump or the pump itself. That's under the carb on the starboard side (717 engine)?
It again is still leaking slowly, wetting the bilge puddling at the front of the engine with the ski level or slightly tilted forward. I guess when I change the fuel lines and fuel baffle float next I can see that area when I remove the air box. As far as I can reach in there with my hand, nothing feels wet, but that's probably where it's coming from. There are no leaks from the front of the engine and I can see that area OK with a mirror.

Another question - do I have to remove the carb to get to that area, and do I have to remove the carb to get to the filter inside or can the carb be opened where it is?

You will need to remove the carbs. when you replace the grey fuel lines. The fuel filters are inside the carbs.
