I just rebuilt the carb in my 97 GS and need to adjust it to get it running right. I replaced all of the fuel lines and filters during the rebuild. I tried running it at the current settings but it loaded up and is ran like crap. Last night I reset the low and high adjusters to the factory specs of 1 turn low and 1 1/2 turns high from closed position. I found a procedure that has me running the ski at different throttle positions and reading the plugs to make the needed adjustments. Has anyone done this and how difficult is it? It also talks about changing jets but I don't want to get into that. I just want it back to OEM specs. I am planning on taking it out this weekend and giving it a try but am nervous about running it too lean and damaging the engine. Also, do I need to make adjustments to the oil injection pump after adjusting the carb?
