Hey there,

I put my challenger away after a day out with it, ran great, now issues. A few weeks later, while winterizing it, I attempted to start it in the drive way, hit the button and got nothing. I figured the battery was dead so I charged it over night. Tried again today, nothing, don't even here the starter click at at all. My gauges all light up though. I moved the shifter around a bit and still nothing.

Anyone run into this before?

Thanks,

Ryan

If you aren't hearing a click... then there is a chance that the Solenoid has gone bad. Try jumping the large terminals with a screwdriver. That will put power directly on the starter.

Thanks Dr. Honda. Which two terminals, on the solenoid I assume? Not sure where to find it but I'll check my manual too when I get back to the shop. Could the DESS keys cause this or the MMPG?

It could be the MPEM... but if they gauges come on when you put the lanyard on... it's probably OK.

Yes... the 2 large terminals on the Solenoid. Jump across it, and the starter should spin.

That worked! I jumped the solenoid and the starter kicked, so then I tried the buton and it fired up... guess I need a new solenoid.

Thanks Dr.Honda, your advice is greatly appreciated.

Ryan
