Hi everyone, new here, but have been doing a LOT of reading.
I have several ?? about 97.5 / 98 155 mm pumps ( mine is a 98 GTX Ltd.)
1. mounting bolt pattern / spacing -- pump / pump support & shoe, different?
2. impeller (mine is P/N 271000907) all the same?
3. takes a different impeller shaft & bearings
4. no neoprene seal will one fit? any advantage to put one in?
5. hubs - cones any difference ?
6. wear rings -all the same?

Thanks!!

The 97.5 GSX had it's own pump, impeller and nozzles. Racers used to like them in certain situations. They are the first 155 pumps and have a small hub where all later style 155 pumps had a big hub. They fit and later pumps will fit on the 97.5. There is not neoprene seal because the 155 pumps have a rubber seal that seals on the outside perimeter of the pump instead of sealing pump to hull.

thanks Matt
the rubber seal is in the pump support?
small hub means 'special' (wont fit newer pumps) impeller shaft & bearings
will this pump bolt to a 99 & up hull?
you said 97.5 GSX what about GTX & XPs

The only half year model in the nineties was the "Grey Ghost" 97.5 GSX. Other then that they are all 155mm big hub made of either plastic or brass
