So I want a NEW 2010 Seadoo Speedster 200 (510HP Twin) but because of the times/economy the Fiancee says NO!!! So it is back to the drawing board. I currently own a '97 Seadoo 1800 Challenger. I have read most of the threads but can't seem to find the bottom line answers. I am beginning to assume there is no good way to Increase overall speed/power. I have already done the Impellers so what next?
Can I do an twin Engine swap? 951's? 4-strokes? Etc?

Should I try a head mod, Pro K Intakes, New Exhaust and Carbs with my 787's? or is it only going to give me 3 more HP and 3 more MPH?

Does anyone have any experience with Mods in the past? Engine Swaps? Etc..

Anything would help. Thanks in advance.

Any mod that you can do to a ski... you can do to a boat. Problem is... just like with a ski... you will start to lose reliability. Also... since you are pushing a big heavy boat... moding the engines you have may only get you an extra 2 or 3 mph up top.

You will find, most of the guys here don't mod the boat engines. Now... on my personal boat... I have hand massaged a few of the parts, to peak what I have. By no means is it a super fast boat now... but it runs better than your average Sportster.

Engine swaps are up to you, but unless you are good with doing fab work, and just want to do a swap... it's not something I would recommend. Not to mention... by the time you buy 2 engines, all the electronics, and fab up the parts to mount them... you might as well just sold your boat, and bought a new one.

I'm all for projects... but the $$$$ spent, and the time needed... it won't balance the performance you will get in the end.

with a ski, yes you'll see the mods performed, worth it, but inna 2k + boat, just piss'n $$$ away

:-(

That is what I was affraid of. Most of the threads lean towards not doing anything since the results are minimal.
If they weren't so proud of the new ones this year I would just go get one. :)
Thanks Guys for your Input. Saves me from trying something not worth the effort.

if anything, depending on what yuor try'n to achieve, throw in a set of impellors and new wear rings, that'll wake it up...call impros or skat-trak, they'll know what pitch will work.
