ANYONE know if i have the wrong nozzle!! whats up with a tapor bore to the R&D steering nozzle i bought used off ebay. i bought a R&D venturi and steering nozzle setup used for 140 pumps. not sure if this was for 97 xp's? i bought the seadoo without looking up into the intake grate to see how good the leading edges of the prop were, well i looked up in there after i bought it of course the effin nose boot was missing and the prop looked BRAND new. i was sorta happy with that until i pulled the pump and found that the prop was a Solas 14/19. some idiot actually threw the prop on there without the boot, I know it because if they were in the right mind they would have never put this effin 14/19 on this boat because it didnt effen go over 50mph and it was banging off the rev limiter like a mofo! if someone wanted that crazy hole shot why would they go so effin small at least a 16/21 17/21 from skat trak. i installed the stock impeller from skat trak 17/26 which made a drastic improvement. 60.2 mph on a gps. BIG question. could the idiot that worked on this boat b4 me, install the shims wrong when they put it back on. they had shims only to the right studs, top and bottom and 2 on top and one on bottom. also i did a pump on my other seadoo 95 spi and it didnt have any shims on it. Im just wondering why shimsgoto the pump. ive seen them on the motor mounts on seadoo's. :cheers:
