96XP aftermarket pump - Skat-trak vs OEM?

Rebuilding a 96XP and wanted to do something different from OEM if it's a performance upgrade.

The motor is being sent to GroupK for a rebuild along with their sleeper kit and upgraded port finishing. Will probably always stay a 787.

I have been trying to research pumps but am not able to find much information. A few threads mention swapping the 140mm pump for a 155mm plastic pump from a later model.

Others have mentioned buying a skat-trak pump but I am not able to find much detail about these pumps. The website is rather sparse on detailed information. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is everything available from skat-trak or must it be sourced used?

Let me know how that sleeper kit is I have been looking at that option and read all the group k literature on the 782cc and they sound like they know what they are doing. They are also a 45min or so drive from me so that is a big plus too.

From what I have seen the 155mm pump swap is done mostly on 951 swap X4s. Also from what I have read for a modded 787 the 148mm Skat pump is highly touted (and very expensive, if you can even find one).

Skat Trak does have the parts but it is very expensive. They service and repair their stuff though if you can find one on the used market.

Those pumps do perform better. Usually the difference it makes for the money spent is only worth it for racers though. I have them on a couple rec skis but it keeps me nervous. I'm always worried that I'm gonna eat something floating down the river and then have to send my pump off to California for expensive repairs. I have swapped back to stock pumps but it cost me a mph or two and does not accelerate quite as well.

They make many different ones for both the 140mm and the 155mm bolt pattern. Some of their pumps are the "set back" style and those will require a little longer drive shaft.
