Black wire in rear box connected?
Dude, Its not in Stone your MPEM is bad!
Make sure you hooked up the small black wire coming out of the coil box to the negative side of the battery, and the magneto plug in plugged in.
You should be hearing two short beeps when you install the security coded lanyard onto the lanyard post, telling you the ignition is armed.
The stator has nothing to do with the ignition on a 787 engine. The cdi gets the power from the mpem and the mpem gets power from the battery. The ignition is only triggered by the rotor on the flywheel passing the ignition pick up on the backside of the mag cover. To make it all work that little black wire needs to be hooked up to the battery, the mag connector plugged into the mag cover. And a good mpem, the fuses, cdi, and tether switch with the right coded tether for the XP. You should be hearing two beeps when you install the tether onto the tether post telling you the ignition is armed.
Be sure that you got all 6 terminals connected to the right wires going to the grey box and going to the trigger and the stator. Clean anything that looks like discoloration, Dielectric grease all wire pin connections. Bills86e
Oh!
Look into where fuses push in for any damage in there!
