After fixing all the electronics and finding out I need a new stator, I was relieved that it was just the stator,, I THOUGHT!! After trying to get it started several times and failed, I decided to do a compression check and found out that the back cylinder was 150 and the front was ZERO! I took the head off and the front piston looked like it exploded. The cylnder from the bad pison is in decent shape and can possibly be honed.

My question is, can I just hone the cylinder and get one new piston? Are WSM pistons any good? I can get a complete WSM kit for $200 and get it bored locally for a decent price. What would you recommend?

You need a complete tear-down. Split the cases, hope the seals survived the shrapnel of bits and shards. Then a top end job. Probly went lean from a fuel delivery or oil line failure. You need to find out Why it imploded. Bills86e

with the cylinder off, inspect the shims on the side of the rod, make sure both are there, if it turns smooth, remove the rest of debris, and then, slap a piston in.
