96 XP... No take off??

Engine revs fine but the ski doesn't go?? If I ease into the gas it moves fine but if I hammer down it's like the engine is out running the jet pump. What's the deal here??

Ya may have spit the wear ring outa her jetpump. Check that out.

I have seen on a 99 XP where it was doing that and the bearings had went out of the jet pump.

Yep, sounds like cavitation. Check the clearance on the wear ring. If that looks ok, then probably need to rebuild the pump in which case you might as well replace the wear ring at the same time.
