I just got a 96 xp 787 about a week ago. ve had this hull before but never the 787 and it has the oil pump block off kit on it and was wondering if running premix will need bigger jets. The seadoo runs fine i was just wondering if it would pick up anymore if it had bigger jetting. Also what do yall think about the k&n intake kit? is it worth it?

You shouldn't need to rejet. You may gain a couple of hp with the K&Ns and rejet, but that will only be if it is perfectly tuned which will take time. To me it wouldn't be worth it unless you were putting it on with a/m or recut heads and/or a/m pipe. If you decide to go w/ K&Ns I have the required jet kit that you will need.

Jets:

No... they don't need changed going to pre-mix. If it makes you feel better... you can open your high screws about a 1/16th of a turn.

K&N filters:

Waste of money. On their own... they won't make any more power, since your filter isn't a restriction now. But... they will mess up the jetting, and they will allow water into the engine if you roll over. Unless you are doing other mods to the engine... leave the stock airbox on it.

Ok thanks ill just leave the stock box on dont want water getting in carbs haha. Also it didn't have the air intake tube thing that clips under the seat. All my other x4's had them are they important?

I'm rebuilding my motor from crank up and having the cylinders bored to 82.25mm will I need different carb settings with bigger pistons than stock settings

with out it your machine will flood when upside down. also helps silence the motor noise and drives the air down low
