I have a 96 XP with a completely STOCK 787 engine... The problem is that throughout the day when the ski is started or during acceleration the ski will start firing on 1 cylinder sporadically and I will have to kill the engine and restart it and continue to do it until it runs fine. It occurs probably about 25% of the time and started at the end of last season. The battery is a newer sealed gel battery and is fully charged and the spark plugs are new and both look good, running a little rich, but neither look like they were wet or fouled out from running on one cylinder
I was thinking that it might be the coil or rectifier but not sure... anyone have similar situations or know what it could possibly be??? Thanks for any help or advice!!!
