Ok so I bought an xp from a friend of mine and purchased a rebuilt engine from SBT. Install went well and hooked everything up correctly. I had it out this past weekend breaking everything in and when it came time to finally be able to get on it a little, it seems like it takes off and the just falls on its face, boggs down for about 2 seconds and then jumps back up again and keeps doing that. I pulled the fuse to the rectifier and it seems to run alllllot better but still wants to bogg occasionally and seems like it has a lot more power to let loose. I was still running 40:1 and am going to 32:1 next tank so the plugs are looking black and wet right now but i couldnt imagine that causing bogging. Were do I start? carb cleaning, ignition? any help would be appreciated! thanks guys

These engines use oil injection from an oil tank. You are apparently adding oil to the gas. Don't do that unless the oil injection system is disabled, hence you are overloading it with oil.

If you didn't clean out the internal filters in the carb you should've. I assume you know about the problems caused by the old grey fuel lines.

I did disable the oil injection because it was highly recommended by SBT. so i had to run 40:1 for the first two tanks and then go to 32:1 premix. And I just found out about the grey fuel line problems? tell me more and where i need to look for new ones, im kinda new to the watercraft world, i know small engines but never messed with one of these

1/4" black fuel line. Sold at any auto part store! U need 25 ft and 20 hose clamps! Run one line at a time, routing them exactly like factory! Once that is done pull the carbs and clean! Paying special attention to the internal filters!
