I am new to this site but seems to be a wealth of good info...so hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
Purchased a 96 xp earlier this summer - As some backround, the only thing ive done to the ski thus far is to add a block off plate and switch to pre mix. (everything else appears to be stock) Runs great but towards the end of the summer would cut off at lower fuel levels in rough water (usually at higher throttle level). Figured this was just due to the gas sloshing in the tank when hitting a wave. However, the reserve does not seem to work either...Always runs out of gas with a bout 2" or so left in tank and does nothing when switching to reserve (also information guage powers up but no read outs). Yes, still have grey line - I am changing but want to do all at once. I also am aware of the recall on the tank and intend to have it changed this winter as well (strong fumes in hull).
From reading thus far, Im thinking the fuse is out in the baffle or the float is getting saturated. So my initial plan of attack is to simply replace the baffle with a used working one, redo the fuel lines - then test, then rebuild carbs.
Am i on the right track or way off here........Thanks!
