96 spx can i use a full synthetic???

i just got this 1996 spx but i dont know what kind of oil is in it so i was going to drain it but i want to use the same oil i use in the my gtx so that way i wont be buying to different types of oil or having my wife accidently mix them up what do you think can i use it in that spx its the720 motor

I use Mineral oil in my older 587' & 657's. The 657X & 720 = XPS
I use XPS2 in my Rave engines up to 1050cc.
