'96 SPI nut for carburetor

Can someone PLEASE tell me what size the nut is that holds the throttle lever assembly on the carb. It is reference number 7 on the parts diagram. I'm not paying seven bucks for a little nut....hopefully I can't seem to find the right one. I would appreciate any/all help!!!

everything on the Seadoo is metric, if this helps. (not at shop)

Yup... metric.

The nut is 8mm x 1.0

That makes it fine thread, so unless you have a very good bolt shop around, it isn't going to be a hardware store nut.

(FYI, std. thread would be 8mm x 1.25)
