:confused:Hey guys I went to put the lanyard on the post got one beep then nothing opened the fuse panel and found that there was a short on the gauges. So I disconnected all of the gauges and plugged the lanyard in and I got both beeps and every thing is fine. Started one by one plugging in the gauges and every one was shorting the system. Any ideas????

It starts its out of the water so I'm not sure about run but it starts and runs fine with the hose hooked up its wiered with no guages connected I can put the key in and it won't blow a fuse but as soon as I plug in any of the gauges it blows the fuse

The gauges all use a common ground and a common positive. The only thing unique to each gauge is the sending lead. It sounds like you have a short someplace in the harness. The positive comes from the MPEM and feeds all the gauges. The ground comes from a plug that only has wires on one side with a ground bar connecting them together. You need to get the schematic and check out the leads back to the commons. Any shorted lead will feed back to all the gauges.

Ok so I was replacing my carbon seal when this happened. so is there anything around the driveshaft’s that could have caused it or is there anything in the Speedo cable going to the sensor wheel that could have been pinched that could cause it?
