Dr Honda Well-Known Member May 7, 2011 #2 The pump will run for 10 to 15 seconds after you hook up the battery. Have you given it enough time to stop? Is your switch turned on at the helm? If it's not either of those things... the auto switch may be bad. (or full of water)
