Just stripped carbs, repainted, rebuilt both with Domonic's kit #3 from seadoosource...these carbs look beautiful!
Go to turn it over and PTO (I believe is the side closest to the impeller) is backfiring. Runs like poop. Bareley holds idle and when I give it gas it gets worse (the backfiring). Little dissapointed and frustrated at the same time. Set high needles to zero and lo's to 1.25 turns on both carbs.
Checked lines....pours gas all over the place. Oh and checked plugs...they look good, no I did not perform a pop off test like I probably should have but if that's mandatory I will.

Any suggestions obvious or not would be appreciated.
Thanks

re-install the oem springs that were in the carbs, to begin with. The ones in the kit, are mainly for, if yuo change tthe air intake system. spray wd-40 on the needle and seat assy, to help it not stick before gas has chance to lube it. Other than that, should be good.

Thanks!

I replaced the springs with the black ones in the kit not the silver ones (same size and appearantly the same tension) did not actually test spring pressure as I don't have a tool for that nor did I test pop-off. I will take the carb off and lube up the needle seat with WD-40 and see if that works. It'll go WOT and run relativeley smooth and as it gets back down to idle it seems like it's running on 1 cylinder. I'll take the tip posted and post again after thats done and let you know the results.

Thanks for the reply!

armpit...that black spring is weighted at 80grm, your oem one, is higher, 90-ish. It'll make world difference. Re-install the ones that you replaced with the black ones, and dont mess with the "tang" arm settings either, install oem ones, leave the ones that came with kit, inside the bag, and re-install carbs.

I'm all over it Boss!
I'll rip em out when I get home and put the old ones back in. I also have the gummy grey lines, i'll get those replaced tonight as well. Will post update soon!

Thanks!

OK...changed out springs to originals, replaced grey lines that were green and gummy...re-cleaned carbs from massive glumps of green poop in the filters from crappy fuel lines, scraped carbs of gummy residue and put back together. fired it up and it was a little sloppy but took it to WOT a few times and she purrs like a kitten now. Idle is smooth, transition through WOT smooth, no backfires. The real test will come when I dump it in the water later this week to test it out. thanks for all the tips! I'll post again and let you know the final verdict.

Seadoo runs like a champ!
It had a little sputter like it was having a bowel movement for anbout 10 seconds into the first 5 minutes of the ride while I was on the water but for the 45 minutes I was out it ran like a hero. Thanks again for your posts.
