Wood block is dry and rock solid. No need to replace it...

Great work though. It's a nice project to keep you occupied and that is the first time I've ever seen that bracket. Nice work and thanks

Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Thanks!! I replaced the stringers and deck in my first boat. Ever since then I have wanted to have a small project involving fiberglass. That was a big reason why I went this route. Thanks to watching/reading!

First layer of fiberglass is down!!!

Hey I see you're in West Chester, do you ride the Schuylkill?

I have a few times. I would launch from the Black Rock Rd. ramp in Phoenixville. But I will hopefully be keeping it at the marina with my boat next year on the Bohemia River in Chesapeake City.

Sorry I caught this late but i had to do a similar repair on my XP this year.

Please make sure that if you are using epoxy resin you are not using actual fiberglass mat as the mat has to have polyester resin to dissolve the binding agent. With epoxy resin you can only use woven fiberglass sheets.

Thanks, you did a nice job with yours!

The csm I'm using has a powder binding agent instead of an emulsion binding agent so it works fine with epoxy.

Wow Black Rock, I haven't been there since the late 90's. The water is toasty from the Limerick reactors up that way, LOL.
