just purchast this sky. sat for a year . things iv done to it change fuel lines, had carbs rebuilt, changed filter in tank, cleand valves, changed oil in pump, inspected wear ring good shape,.ok problem is the sky steal bogs done at half throtel.i checked carb ajustments again acording to manual their good. a friend told me its probably the rectifier ass"y in front electrical box.so how do i check this out.and what dose it do.o one more thing i checked spark at plugs it seams to be a weak spark. what kind of voltage should i be geting? any help would be helpfull

Put a volt meter on battery with ski not running, then when running. If over 15VDC
Rec is toast. 2. Open grey box and Disconnect the red wire to the rectifier and see if it run great. restart the ski several times to confirm and if everything worked, Rec is bad, This is the Rectifier test. Stop is bypassed, so choke it to Kill it.

ok tryd it out . voltig meter read 12.2 off. whith sky runing it went from 12 to 15.2 in a few seconds. unpluged red wire from rectifier ass"y whill runing ideal smothed out. but when i reved up it cleard its throt for a change but when i let off throttle sky shut off. tried again same thing is it because the red wire is unpluge that it shuts off. im going to order a new rectifier dose it sound like i have another problem to.

The Voltage before and after running is the most reliable test over the disconnect
wire test. Get a heavy duty rated Rectifier replacement. Bills86e
