96 gtx wont go abov 45

i took it out this weekend and it ran great but i could only do about 43-45 on the water everybody says that the 787 in it should do like 50-55 it did the same with just me or with my son and me or with my wife and me is that all it has or should i check something out

Check your RAVE valves, they probably need a good cleaning due to carbon build up. If you still have the gray tempo fuel lines they need to be changed out for black automotive fuel lines. You also probably need to clean you carbs out if you have the gray fuel lines.:cheers:

Also make sure your plugs(NGK BR8ES) are gape correctly to .20MM:cheers:

Sounds like, your ski needs gone through, as to the tune, of whats been mentioned. Along with that, also the wear ring needs to be inspected if not replaced, or possibly your impellor is dinged up enough to "harbor" the performance..? shoot'n you pm.
