Last year, I replaced the sun damaged panel in the LCD display on my ski and noticed it stays on all the time. I don't recall it doing that earlier in the summer. In reading, it seemed like a new rectifier might be in order, so I installed a new one, but still have the same problem. Any way to prevent this other than just disconnecting the battery when not in use?

Rectifier has nothing to do with that.
The problem will either be the mpem or the wiring in the grey electrical box.
In other words you have the output to the gauges wired to the constant power wire instead of the switched power wire.

I haven't mucked much with any wiring except for the rectifier replacement, but who knows if a previous owner did anything. I'll look for a diagram to check. If it's the MPEM, I may be better off living with it for now if that's the only problem as I suspect MPEM replacement would be pricey.
