96 gtx fuel

Help i have a 96 gtx that the front cylinder is filling up with fuel.I can turn the engine over with the plugs out and clear the cylinder of the excess fuel.I can then install the plugs and start the engine up but as you open the throttle up the engine bogs and then fills the cylinder up again.Is this a carb issue?

Probably a reed valve is broken.

no reeds on a 787, only the 947/951 motors.

Its a carb issue. Your needle is stuck open, allowing the journal area to fill with gas. Pull the carbs, go thru them, replace the grey fuel lines, and you'll be good.
