'96 GTX. The problem started last year. The boat idles fine. Jump on it and sometimes it goes and sometimes it dosen't. Drive it 5 or 10 min. and it usually snaps out of it. Last winter I replaced all the grey lines except the tank vent. I did not rebuild the carbs. This year the boat ran great for about 5 hrs. then started to act up. When it does this it idles fine but will not get past 5000 rpm. When it snaps out of it, it's usually good for the rest of the ride. Any ideas???

If you only changed these Tempo lines last year, chances are, you had some of the goo from the inside of these lines run into your carbs. Anytime someone does this change out, I always recommending the complete cleaning of the carbs and more importantly, the internal passages.....

Thx for the reply Snipe. The lack of rpm has had me sitting on the fence between carb/accellerator pump (if they even have pumps?) or some type of timing advance. A carb rebuild is next on the hit-list.
