Took my ski out for its first ride of the season. Thought it was running great until it was stalling out. I knowing had leaky crank seal so I installed a shutoff oil valve and had it turned off when not in use. I now learned that my PTO side cylinder has 0 compression, with the mag side at 138. Bad news.
I'm looking for advice about what to do next. How do I know If I need a new engine or top end?
Also, what could have possibly caused a PTO side failure? Clogged carbs? Clogged fuel lines? I want to do all I can to ensure this won't happen again. Thank you
