96 gti wont start

I traded for a 96 seadoo gti today when i plug lanyard in it beeps once when i go to start it beeps evertime u push the button i am wondering it the key needs to be programed or if it something else? Any help would be great

One Beep

One beep usually means that the lanyard is not making contact with the post.

Make sure the lanyard is securally on the post. Try cleaning the lanyard contacts, use a pencil eraser, also try cleaning the post.

Also it could be wiring to the mpem, wrong lanyard or you may need to have the lanyard reprogrammed. Try the easiest first.

If you get two beeps its ready to start.
