Hey guys, after y'alls help with troubleshooting the ignition, which turned out to be the cdi box, i got to put it in the water today, it would ldle great i think(around 3500rpm when flushing and 1500 in the water) but when i give it some gas, which is mixed 32-1 for break in on new topend, i can get the r's up to 2600 but if i try to give it more gas, it just dies, it cranks right back up. i think this ski has sat for a few years, 2 or 3, also the choke has been removed, i mean every part, the butterflies, their shafts and the arms, the only thing left is the cable and bracked, why someone would remove it baffles me, so i left the airbox off so i can choke it, now is my mixture ratio (air/fuel) way off? causing it to not want to take the fuel? or plugged jet? thanks in advance, jerry

If it's been sitting... the fuel system needs cleaned... the carbs need rebuilt... and the gray fuel lines need changed.

The choke was removed because someone was probably going to install a primmer, but never did.

Yeah tony, i figure the carbs need something, but what about the air/fuel ratio, will the airbox being removed cause a lean condition by getting too much air? the airbox seems restrictive with only a few holes in the lower housing,
