96 GSX Problems

i got a 96 gsx 787 and im having trouble in starting it takes for ever to get it going and once i get it going the ski runs fine but the moment i cut it off and try to start again it will not start untill the battery is almost dead!! any ideas on what can it be coil? mpeg? i know its not fuel related i got new carbs and filter and lines..

Rotary valve clearence can also be out. How long do you have the machine running for before shutting down and trying agian?

Yea i can go all day or i can run it for two seconds and i cut it off then it will do this it only happends whe its on the water any other ideas?

ok so i put a new rotary valve and it fixed it thanks for the info
