96 GSX blows 15amp fuse - Rear Elec. Box

Need some help and advice...I have a 1996 GSX Seadoo...It starts and idles just fine, but when you start to accelerate and get around 4000 rpm's it blows the 15 amp fuse located in the rear electrical box.

How can I determine if the problem is the rectifier or the stator or something else? Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.
