96 challenger impeller

Im trying to replace my impeller on my challenger but I can't find anything over the net with the same part #. The stealership is wanting to sell me one for $300. I just replaced the wear ring and I think the guy who put it in ground down my impeller when he was sharpening the edges. Now I've got too much of a gap. My question is "Do any impellers cross reference can I use a different one or only the one specific to that boat?"
