I have a 96 challenger that dies while its running. I have a feeling that it is overheating but I'm not for sure. I flushed the coolant system and everything is coming out fine. I just replaced the wear ring and impeller. The boat is running alot better but it is still dying after about 10 to 15 min of running. It takes a while for it to start running again that is why i think it is overheating. does anyone know if the engine has a cut off when it over heats and if it does does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I have a feeling i'm not the first person that this has happened to. the inlet line when disconnected seems to be blowing instead of sucking.

if its "pissing" in the back of boat, then the cooling system is work'n. Put boat on hose, tyo verify it. Sounds like carbs' issue.

Could be

It could be the carbs but it runs really good once it's started. It will run good for I'd say about 15 min and then either seem to bog down and die or just die immediatley. It will start back up but die instantly if I don't let it sit.
