hey gang...
I bought a 1996 Challenger used a few months ago, had it checked over at a local dealer and had a new throttle cable installed.

Took it out for the first time and it ran great...

Took it out for the second time and on the regular fuel selection it would cut out at full throttle... it would run fine on the "reserve" fuel line" - took it back to the shop, they looked at the fuel selector and sent us on our way.

Took it out for the third time...cut out a few times, then seemed to run fine.

Took it out on the fourth time...back to cutting out, now on the in the reserve position and in the regular position.

we've also had issues with it not starting, and hearing clicking...we checked the spark plugs and the battery terminals...they were a bit loose and that seemed to fix the problem.

So i guess my main question would be is this fuel line related, or is this something to do with the spark/batter issue? And how do i fix?!?

thanks!
Mike

I actually also have the same Issue. However my issue along with shutting off at high RPM (more of a rarity) is it feels like it thrust about 200rpm then backs off then thrust against (over and over again). It almost feels like it stalls then kicks in however my Speed it constant unless I make any type of course correction.
It will also thrust like this during hard accretion. Any ideas?

go thru carbs, and change the spark plugs.

My spark plugs are only have about 20 hours on them. But it would be a good idea to check compression and carbs.
anything else it could be ?
