Just reinstalled engine after exhaust repair. Had another Thread about that but anyway. I believe there is a skip at idle. Also after clearing no wake zone it bogs down has some hesitation at first. Once it clears out it's good. I just thought it was loading up. Where I put in and the end of the no wake zone is a long way. I'd say a half mile. When I first started it it was burning out all the fogging oil. It quit revving and then wouldn't idle at all also backfire through the carbs. Replace plugs idling again and revving. I have rebuilt the carbs high 0, lows 1. Rave valves are cleaned and gone through. I've been reading and I'm going to cut the plug wires back and get a new connection. But not sure where I need to start besides that. I've also read about unhooking the red wire from the regulator as well. Any thoughts or insights will greatly be appreciated. You guys on here are very knowledgeable! It's a 96 challenger by the way.

It could be your rectifier. Unplug the red wire and see if the problem goes away. You can’t run it long like this or your battery will go dead. An easy way to check is to run it on the hose and put a multimeter on the battery. You should be between 13 -14.5 volts . Someone correct me if I’m wrong on the numbers.

I cut back the plug wires. The Mag wire had some corrosion and the little strands I was able to pull out. I also unhooked the red wire on the regulator. The regulator made no difference but the plug wires definitely improved it. Sounds a lot better but still vibration. Not sure if it's too much or normal. I know these things are not the smoothest running. I made a video of it running.

I knew someone was going to say that. I'm going out Thursday and will take care of any loose ends included the box. I just got the motor back in and started yesterday. I like how the spark arrestor vibrates out.

After I did ton of work to my boat I took it out without the airboxes so I could reach the adjusters and see everything they cover and it just didn't run right so before I started getting away from stock settings I put them back on and Shazam it ran right, just my experience.

I can't wait to get my engine bay as clean as yours

I can't stand a dirty engine bay. Every Seadoo I have purchased has been full of grease and oil. I hate to say the only way I've ever gotten rid of all it is to pull the engine. If you had something leaking you would never even know where it was coming from. You're correct as I found out with my first one that the Breather makes a difference.
