96' 787 GTX Fuel Problem

Just wondering, if your not to use dry gas, is it ok to use SeaFoam? Also, would water in the gas cause back firing enough to blow the rubber exhaust hose? And does the reserve draw directly, unfilterd from bottom of tank or is it incorperated with the fuel sock in the tank? Cause it only wants to run on RES...........

Fuel selector valve is probably plugged up on main setting. The main and reserve lines are connected to a plastic baffel inserted in the tank with a float for the gauge between them. Only difference between main and reserve is length of the plastic pick up tubes inside the baffel.

You will find that most all carborator PWCs made up until recent models with the gray Tempo lines have a big problem with the fuel line rotting from the inside. This gunk collects and plugs up most fuel components causing engine to run lean and melt the piston crowns causing major failure. Only solution is to replace all fuel fines and rebuild carbs and selector valve.
