Hello All.
Lucky me, i bought a junker, 98 gsx limited, and the motor died first ride out. so i am parting the guy out. I have pretty much everything out, but I can not for the life of me get the cylinders off of the bottom end. My mechanical experience is down to brake jobs on cars pretty much, but i am doing great taking it apart. putting it together i would fail miserably, but in any event. I can slide them so close to entirely off but can not get them to go. Any suggestions on what i am missing? do the piston heads have to come off first? Do i need something special to get them off. Appreciate any help. also 951 parts for sale!

theres 8, i think, o-rings, around the shafts, protruding into the case. Need to fish those up first...slide cylinder up/down numerous times...its a pain....or double nut the "all-threads" and twist them out, from the case.

Yup, you have to remove the long studs first before the cylinders will come off due to those o-rings on them. Is the engine white or gray? If it's gray, how much do you want for it?

Sorry chester, I just read your post now. I only have the bad cylinders and the rest of the bottom end left now, by that i mean crank and case, starter, and stator. If you're interested let me know.
