Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I just did my SPI and had too much movement in the shaft. Mine bumper became dislodged during the process. I had to take mine back apart too. Good thing is... all you do is pull the pump.

Yeah it's a pretty easy job, just a PITA especially since I've already pulled it apart 3 times. I bought a brand new bottle of gear oil before replacing my wear ring and it's got just enough for one more dismantle.

What kind of oil did you get? I am such a rookie, I buy the expensive stuff in the kit. LOL Not any more though.

Dunno right now, said BRP on it (got its from dealer). Wasn't very big, only had a few ounces in it.
