Hello i have a 95 xp 720 with a factory pipe and i bought two 44mm mikunis for it. I am going to mount them on a R&D intake with hot products 1.5 inch tall FAs and build a stainless bracket for them because i cant find a case brace for it. So my question is what would be good to start as far as jets? I was thinkin 87.5 low 1.5 turns on the low needle about 25psi pop off and 155 high with the high needle 1.5 turns out as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Try it and see how it runs. A lot of times people will use larger lows and smaller highs to help get it off idle without a lean bog. That's an amazing combination (95XP with a Factory pipe) when you get it right.

It is running pretty good with the stock carbs but I've been reading really bad things about leaving them on it.

Open the needle of the rear carb's high speed jet and don't pin it for very long. It's always the rear piston that burns up. Make sure to run the highest octane pump gas you can find.
