So I picked this boat up today.. I paid a little more then I wanted, but I didn't want to let this boat fall into the wrong hands. I bought it from Wayne Mcmicheals. He told he me he raced all through the 90's.

95 xp 717 with a Carbon fiber low half and a lightened upper.
753cc Rossier stroker motor Domes have t380 and 74-82 marked in them.
Full msd hole shoot with pro coil. Guessing total loss.
blue printed stock 6 vein brass pump
carbon fiber hood
UMI steering
TNT PIPE I think???
jet dynamics shoe and hoping he finds the ride plate for me.
fuel baffle is different also.

If anyone out there has more info on this ski please post.

That's trick, that pipe looks like a sled pipe that was modified for water injection. What does the end of the pipe look like where it couples to the manifold? Is is a ball and socket like the bazooka pipe, looks like it with the spring I can barely make out? I think Braley has one of those pipes.

It is a Bazooka sled pipe. It does have a ball and socket style where it mounts to the exhaust manifold. The old guru's told me to use valve grinding compound to seat that in so it won't leak exhaust under the hull.

I like this boat. I do have many of those parts but never had a chance to see them all put together like that. This was similar to the set up that Bo Dupiest first won for Seadoo on in 94. He had called the top sled engine builder of the day and explained where he was at with it mid season. The builder sent him a "hill climbing" engine and that was the ticket.

When Seadoo came out with the XP800 in 95 they made their riders use them. Initially these "snowmobile powered" racers were probably faster until the tricks and parts caught up for the 800. It's a really cool piece of history and I like the look of this one.

Let's get this done Jess. There has got to be somebody coming over to Pensacola or Panama City that would tote it for a reasonable fee. Will you take 2K and help me find that guy?

It would be my baby I break out a few times a year because it will require race fuel. I already had a "race fuel only" ski around but I sold it. Then I sold both my RXX's so Jess take my money before I do something responsable with it like pay off debt.

I while back I bought racing engines that I still have no plan for but they would fit this ski. I love the history as much as anything and this ski is a cool piece from a particular moment in time. Before the 787 came out BRP used the parts and knowledge from the snow mobile racing. This hull is already adjusted for the Bazooka pipe that these engines run.

I had to get my day started earlier so I was a little cut short. I like this rare stuff and think I'm the right guy for the tuning challenge. I also think it could be competitive as a racer again. Some of those old set ups reached over 150hp!! Can you imagine that on a lightened hull?

They had some issues with exhaust leaks at the joint(snowmobiles are open air, not trapped under seat) but I've already talked to a couple old guru's on how to overcome that. Like I said this would not be my high hour river runner, just a point of pride with vintage cool and crazy performance.

OK OK I'm talking myself into it more, need to slow down.

Well I'm getting this thing. Jess drives a hard bargain. I have to work, pay, and drive lol but it's a keeper. The hull was made by Odyssey that also made the Bazooka pipes. They were in Toronto and made race support stuff for BRP back then.

Since I wrote that stuff above I got my fill of racing for a while. My new idea is to put a T tank in it and de-tune the race engine to run pump fuel. I'll start a thread on it whenever I tear into it. I do not need a "every now and then" ski so I'll probably sell the black and white one when I get this one right.

About 10-11 hours of windshield time. It wouldn't make sense at all if it wasn't a lifer. This will prompt me to get some things fixed and serviced on my car that I've been blowing off also.

It gives me inspiration to finish the Seadoo projects I've taken on. This one will be next to my Big Red GSX eventually. I'm a long way off from that but the idea keeps me moving.

let me know when you're coming through houston, if the timing works out i'd be down for a beer or two, and possibly a place to crash if you need but you'd only be 3 hours from austin by then.

Thank you very much but the working plan is to meet on the road so I won't have to come that far.

I've been thinking the first and easiest thing I will do is just buy it a tank of race fuel to see what the guy had. I bet it rips
