Just rebuilt top end, ran good on the hose, started it up 3 times for about 3-4 minutes each. All seemed well until it just shut down, like I had pulled the lanyard or hit the stop...but I didn't. Quick check of the basics showed no spark. 3 fuses in electrical box all good. Anyone know what is the most likely part that would fail like this, and how to verify? I have the shop manual and will read up on it, but wondering if anyone can give guidance from experience.

Thanks, I'll try to check all those. On the magneto connector, do you mean internal, or the 4-pin connector outside sitting on top of the housing? It turns over just fine, could there still be an issue with a battery cable? Still learning about these Seadoos...

outside. Insure its fully pluged in. Use a light tester on the coil plug and spin engine.
If no pulse, you have a Stator problem, shorting out. If you have pulse, the Coil is
faulty, or the *plug wires are internally burned. Bills86e

Yes, but don't enlarge the pin's hole with your probe.
Read your Shop Manual for your ski's electrical componet spects & tests.

Thanks for your help. No light pulse. Checked resistance of stator at magneto connector, appeared to be broken open (infinite resistance). Pulled front cover to begin gaining access to stator...and found flywheel is cracked and a small piece missing...metal pieces lying in bottom of housing...not good...

Bought this non-running ski last year, been working on it off and on, looks like it will take longer still.
