Hey guys!

So I have this 95 SPX. 657x
I rebuilt these carbs with mikuni parts.
Stock jets.
0 turns on high speed
1.25 turns on low speed
New fuel lines cleaned selector valve. Have currently bypassed selector for elimination.
Pop off checks out at 30psi.

If I punch it out of the hole, it will bog right down for 5 seconds then slowly rev up and the top end is fine. It wakes up and rips on the top end just as it should.

Cannot wrap my head around it.

Any suggestions?

timing was btdc 135°
And atdc was 77°

Seems to start better but haven't rode it yet. Rv Clearance was about
.013

With anyone's past experience would this timing error cause my symptoms?

I will water test this weekend.

Im very surprised this thread hasn't gotten more attention from some of the more experienced members. If this was a 787 engine it would be solved by now lol

Yes I know! I wish someone would chime in. I am really lost with this pos.

Water tested it this afternoon and it starts a lot better with correct timing but still bogs.
I'm confident the carbs and whole fuel system is clean and correct. So I pulled the easiest cover and this is what I found. What smells and looks fuel/oil solution. Looks to me like I may have found this issue??? Anyone ever see a mag crank seal cause this bogging
